Butt Weld Fittings
Fittings To Match The Flanges, Since 1986
Elbows, tees, reducers, caps, stub ends, and return bends coverin' 1,986 sizes across every schedule, with all the dimensions and weights y'all need to lay out a spool. Texas Flange been supplyin' the flanges dat cap off dese lines since 1986; now the fittings dat turn, branch, and reduce 'em in between come right from the same counter, I tell you what.
Order fittin's on the same purchase order as your flanges, gaskets and stud bolts. Fittin's are supplied to ASME B16.9 in A234 WPB carbon steel, A403 stainless, A420 low-temperature carbon, chrome-moly and duplex, with mill test reports (MTRs) available.
Every page down below carries the labelled dimension drawin', the full tables in HTML, and the same data as a downloadable PDF. Dimensions are in inches, weights in pounds, and each page tells y'all the standard dat governs dat particular fitting.

Butt Weld Fittings, Explained
What's a butt weld fitting, now?
Dat's a wrought steel fitting with ends bevelled to match the pipe, so it joins up with a full-penetration circumferential weld. What y'all get is a continuous, full-bore connection with no gasket, no bolting, and nothin' blockin' the flow path, which is exactly why butt welding is the standard way to join up permanent process piping.
Which standard covers dem butt weld fittings?
More than one, and the difference matters when y'all write a spec. ASME B16.9 dimensions most of 'em: long radius elbows, tees, reducers, caps, and 180 degree long radius returns. ASME B16.28 is the companion standard coverin' short radius elbows and short radius returns, so those ain't B16.9 parts. Stub ends follow MSS SP-43, whose Type A long pattern uses the B16.9 dimensions. 3R elbows sit outside all of 'em and are made to the manufacturer standard. Weldin' ends are prepared to ASME B16.25 throughout, and material is specified separately: ASTM A234 for carbon and alloy steel, A403 for stainless, A420 for low-temperature service.
How do I know which schedule I need?
The fittin' schedule matches the pipe it welds to, so the wall thicknesses line up at the weld and there ain't no step in the bore. Every table in this here section is organized by schedule, from STD and XS through 40, 80, 160 and XXS, so y'all can read across from your pipe spec.
What's the difference 'tween butt weld and socket weld fittings?
A butt weld fittin' is bevelled and welded end-to-end with the pipe, givin' you a smooth full-bore joint suited for any size and pressure. Now a socket weld fittin' has a bored recess dat the pipe drops right into, joined up with a single fillet weld. Dat's a whole lot quicker on small bore, but it leaves an internal crevice and is mostly limited to NPS 2 and under, I reckon.
Do y'all supply fittings in stainless and alloy grades?
Yessir. Carbon steel A234 WPB is your everyday grade, and we got A403 stainless, A420 low-temperature carbon, chrome-moly alloys, and duplex ready to go too. Just holler with the size, schedule, and service, and we'll let y'all know what we can ship out right quick.
