Well, after seven long years, dat Texas Flange product catalog finally got itself a new edition. Version 5.1 is ready for y'all to download, save, and share — free of charge, just like every edition we ever put out before it. If you're wantin' a hard copy to sit right there on your desk, just holler at us and we'll ship one right on over.
This here release is just the first step in a mighty big update we're workin' on. A complete, expanded edition is in the works and will be comin' down the pipe soon. Version 5.1 brings our old catalog right up to a modern standard so dem engineers, buyers, and fabricators can use it the way they actually work nowadays — searchin', copyin', pastin', and referencin' inside whatever spec document or quote sheet they're livin' in.
What Changed in Version 5.1
A refreshed design across all 80 pages. Every single page has been redrawn to a cleaner, more consistent layout. It's got the same depth of reference material, but it's a whole lot easier to scan and easier to print, I tell you what.
ASME B16.47 large-diameter tables rebuilt as native digital text. Dem Series A and Series B tables — Class 75 through Class 900, Weld Neck and Blind — were just flat scanned images back in version 5.00. In 5.1, they're native, selectable, searchable text. Engineers and buyers can finally Ctrl+F a dimension, copy a row right into a quote, or paste a value straight into a CAD note. Ain't no more squintin' at a scanned table or retypin' a number from a JPEG.
What Did Not Change
The engineering data is exactly the same as version 5.00. Every dimension, weight, and drilling specification matches dat prior edition perfectly. We didn't add no product lines, we didn't change no sizes, and we sure didn't revise any of dem underlying tables. If y'all have been quotin' against version 5.00, every number you've used is still the right number — it just looks a whole lot better and behaves like a real digital document now.
Why This Release Now
Version 5.00 served the industry mighty well for seven years. In dat time, the way engineers and procurement teams use a reference catalog has changed up a bit. Most of our customers don't print a catalog and flip through it no more — they search inside the PDF, copy figures into specs, and drop dimensions right into RFQs. A scanned B16.47 table was messin' up dat workflow on the exact pages where buyers needed it the most.
Version 5.1 fixes all dat, and sets the foundation for the full expanded edition dat's comin' next. We'll announce the complete edition right here when it's good and ready.
